Everything Palm Springs Mobile App Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 23, 2026
Last updated: July 23, 2026

Everything Palm Springs respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the Everything Palm Springs mobile application (the “App”) handles information when you use it.

Everything Palm Springs is operated by Lindsay Kinkele. Questions or privacy requests may be sent to:

Email: lindsay@everythingpalmsprings.com
Website: https://www.everythingpalmsprings.com

Overview

The App is designed to help you discover Lindsay’s curated places throughout Palm Springs and the Coachella Valley.

The App does not require an account. We do not sell personal information, display third-party advertising, or use your information to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.

Some information stays entirely on your device. Other limited technical information is processed by service providers used to deliver public content and optional push notifications.

Location Information

With your permission, the App accesses your device’s precise location while you are using the App.

Your location is used to:

  • Center the map on your current location.
  • show places near you;
  • calculate approximate straight-line distances to listed places; and
  • sort locations by distance.

Your precise location is processed on your device. Everything Palm Springs does not intentionally store your precise location on its servers, associate it with an account, use it for advertising, or send it to OneSignal.

Location access is optional. You can use the App without granting location permission, although nearby sorting and map-centering features will be limited.

You can change location permission at any time in:

iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Everything Palm Springs

Information Stored on Your Device

The App stores certain information locally on your device, including:

  • Places you save as favorites;
  • the date a favorite was saved;
  • whether you completed the welcome screen;
  • a cached copy of public location listings for offline browsing; and
  • temporary search, category, area, and map selections.

The App does not create an online account or synchronize your favorites with an Everything Palm Springs server.

You can remove individual favorites within the App. Uninstalling the App removes its locally stored information, subject to the normal operation of your device backups.

Public Content and Hosting Services

The App downloads public location listings, categories, newsletters, addresses, editorial content, and images from the Everything Palm Springs site.

As with most internet services, the server, hosting provider, content-delivery network, or security provider may automatically receive technical request information such as:

  • IP address;
  • request date and time;
  • requested page, image, or API address;
  • device or operating-system information made available in the network request; and
  • information used to detect errors, abuse, or security threats.

This information is used to deliver App content, maintain service reliability, diagnose problems, and protect the service.

Log Retention

Our hosting provider maintains standard web-server logs. Logs are rotated daily, seven rotated copies are retained, and older rotated copies are compressed. This results in approximately seven days of retained web logs, plus the current active log. Logs are automatically deleted as they rotate out of the retention period.

These logs may contain an IP address, request date and time, requested resource, and standard technical request information. They are used to deliver content, maintain reliability, diagnose errors, prevent abuse, and protect the service.

The App does not send your in-app searches, favorites, selected filters, or precise GPS location to the server.

Optional Push Notifications

The App uses OneSignal to provide optional featured-place notifications.

When OneSignal is enabled in the App, OneSignal may process information including:

  • an automatically assigned anonymous OneSignal user identifier;
  • a device-level subscription identifier;
  • the Apple Push Notification service token associated with the App;
  • notification permission and subscription status;
  • notification delivery and interaction information, such as whether a notification was opened;
  • App session dates, session counts, and usage duration;
  • App version and application identifier;
  • device model and operating-system version;
  • device language and time zone;
  • network or cellular-carrier information;
  • IP address; and
  • country or approximate location inferred from the IP address.

We do not provide OneSignal with your name, email address, phone number, favorites, searches, or precise GPS location. We do not connect OneSignal’s anonymous identifiers to an Everything Palm Springs account because the App does not have user accounts.

OneSignal information is used to:

  • deliver featured-place notifications;
  • maintain notification subscriptions;
  • understand notification delivery and engagement;
  • measure basic notification and App usage; and
  • troubleshoot notification delivery.

Push notifications are optional. The App’s location and browsing features remain available if you decline them.

You can change notification permission in:

iPhone Settings → Notifications → Everything Palm Springs

Disabling notifications prevents future alerts but may not immediately delete an existing OneSignal subscription record. To request deletion of information associated with your App notification subscription, contact us at lindsay@everythingpalmsprings.com.

OneSignal’s privacy practices are described at:

https://onesignal.com/privacy_policy

OneSignal retention: We retain notification subscription information only as long as reasonably necessary to provide notifications, meet operational requirements, and comply with legal obligations. We will request deletion of an identifiable OneSignal subscription record within 30 days after verifying a valid deletion request. OneSignal may apply additional retention periods described in its privacy policy and applicable service agreement.

Contacting Lindsay

The App provides buttons that let you call, text, email, contact Lindsay through Instagram, or visit the Everything Palm Springs website.

These actions use Apple system services or external applications and websites. The App does not read your contacts, messages, email inbox, or call history.

If you choose to send a message or make contact, Lindsay and the applicable communications provider may receive information you voluntarily provide, including your name, phone number, email address, social-media identity, message content, and information concerning a travel recommendation or real-estate inquiry.

Communications may be retained as reasonably necessary to respond to you, maintain business records, provide requested services, comply with professional or legal obligations, or resolve disputes. You may request deletion of eligible communications by emailing lindsay@everythingpalmsprings.com.

Information handled by Apple Mail, Messages, Phone, Instagram, or another external service is also subject to that service’s privacy policy.

Maps, Sharing, and External Links

The App uses Apple MapKit to display maps. When you choose “Open in Apple Maps,” the selected location is passed to Apple Maps. Information Apple processes through MapKit, Apple Maps, iOS Location Services, and the iOS share sheet is governed by Apple’s privacy practices.

The App may also contain links to location websites, Instagram, the Everything Palm Springs website, and other external destinations. Once you leave the App, the destination’s privacy policy governs information collected there.

The Everything Palm Springs website may use cookies, forms, analytics, or newsletter services that are not part of the mobile App. Those website practices should be described separately in the website’s privacy policy.

How Information Is Used

We and our service providers use information described in this Policy to:

  • provide and maintain App functionality;
  • display current public listings, newsletters, and images;
  • calculate nearby results on your device;
  • deliver optional push notifications;
  • measure notification delivery and engagement;
  • respond to questions or requests;
  • maintain security and prevent misuse;
  • diagnose technical problems; and
  • comply with applicable legal obligations.

We do not use App information for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.

Service Providers and Disclosure

We use a limited number of service providers, including:

  • OneSignal, for optional push notifications and associated notification analytics;
  • Apple, for iOS Location Services, MapKit, Apple Maps, Apple Push Notification service, and system sharing and communication features;
  • Our website hosting providers, for public listings, newsletters, images, and related infrastructure; and
  • external services such as Instagram only when you choose to open or use them.

Service providers may process information on our behalf as necessary to perform their services. We require service providers processing information on our behalf to protect it consistently with this Policy and applicable law.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to legal process, protect the security or rights of users or others, investigate misuse, or complete a merger, sale, or transfer of the service.

No Sale, Advertising, or Cross-App Tracking

Everything Palm Springs does not:

  • sell your personal information;
  • share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising;
  • display third-party advertisements in the App;
  • use Apple’s advertising identifier;
  • use the App Tracking Transparency framework to request tracking permission; or
  • combine App activity with data from other companies for targeted advertising.

Data Retention

We apply the following general retention practices:

  • Precise location: Held temporarily in memory while needed for nearby and map features; not intentionally persisted by Everything Palm Springs.
  • Favorites and App preferences: Stored on your device until you remove them, reset the App, or uninstall it.
  • Cached public content: Stored on your device and replaced as the public catalog is refreshed.
  • Hosting logs: Retained for 7 days.
  • OneSignal notification data: Retained while reasonably necessary to operate notifications and according to the deletion procedure described above.
  • Direct communications: Retained as needed to respond, maintain appropriate business records, satisfy professional obligations, or comply with law.

We may retain limited information longer when required for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legal compliance.

Your Choices and Privacy Requests

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information associated with you.

To make a request, email:

lindsay@everythingpalmsprings.com

Please use the subject line “Everything Palm Springs App Privacy Request.”

Because the App does not have accounts, we may need information from you to identify the relevant communication or OneSignal subscription. We will request only the information reasonably necessary to verify and complete your request.

We will respond within the period required by applicable law and will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

You may also:

  • deny or revoke location access through iPhone Settings;
  • deny or disable notifications through iPhone Settings;
  • remove saved locations within the App; and
  • uninstall the App to remove its locally stored data.

International Processing

Some service providers, including OneSignal, operate in the United States and other countries. Information processed by those providers may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions whose privacy laws differ from those where you live.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect information. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Children’s Privacy

The App is a general-audience travel and local-interest guide and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you believe a child has provided personal information through a communication channel associated with the App, contact us at lindsay@everythingpalmsprings.com so we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the App, our service providers, or legal requirements change. The revised policy will be posted at this URL with an updated “Last updated” date.

If a change materially affects how information is collected or used, we will provide additional notice when appropriate.
